बॉलीवुड की एक मशहूर अभिनेत्री ममता कुलकर्णी जिनका नाम 90 के दशक में काफी मशहूर था। उन्होंने अपनी एक्टिंग से दर्शकों का दिल जीता। हालांकि, एक समय ऐसा भी आया जब ममता ने फिल्मों में काम किया और अचानक फिल्म इंडस्ट्री से गायब हो गयी और अब खबर आ रही हैं की उन्होंने अब संन्यास की घोषणा कर दी हैं । उनके इस फैसले ने उनके फेंस बल्कि बॉलीवुड इंडस्ट्री को भी हैरान कर दिया हैं।

ममता कुलकर्णी ने बॉलीवुड में अपने सफर की शुरुआत को 1992 में शुरू किया था। उनकी पहली फिल्म से खासा रिस्पांस तो नहीं मिला था , पर उन्हें असली पहचान 1993 में रिलीज हुई फिल्म ‘करण अर्जुन’ से मिली थी जो की उस समय की एक ब्लॉकबस्टर मूवी थी। इस फिल्म में उनके साथ में सलमान खान और शाहरुख खान काम किया था, उनके इस किरदार को दर्शकों ने खूब पसंद किया था । इसके बाद ममता कुलकर्णी ने कई फिल्मो में काम किया अमीर खान के साथ ‘बाजी’ में , गोविंदा के साथ ‘नसीब ‘ में और भी कई कलाकारों के साथ कई सफल फिल्मों में काम किया। अपने अभिनय से उन्होंने हर तरह के किरदार को पूरी ईमानदारी और दिल से निभाया और दर्शकों का जबरदस्त के बिच में जगह बनायीं।
