इस मूवी मैं जॉन डिसिल्वा (वरुण धवन ) जो की अपनी प्यारी सी बेटी ख़ुशी (जारा ज्याना) के साथ केरल के एक अलपुज्झा नाम के एक विलेज मैं रहता हैं वहा पर जहा ख़ुशी जॉन के बेटी जिस स्कूल मैं पड़ती हैं वहा की एक शिक्षिका तारा जो की ख़ुशी से बहुत प्यार करती हैं वह इनकी लाइफ मैं आती हैं उसके बाद एक ऐसी घटना होती हैं की इन तीनो की लाइफ बिलकुल चेंज हो जाती और जॉन की जिंदगी किस प्रकार सबके सामने आती हैं इस बारे पता चलता हैं।

In this movie, John D’Silva (Varun Dhawan) lives with his lovely daughter Khushi (Zara Zyana) in a village named Alappuzha in Kerala. There, Tara, a teacher in the school where Khushi, John’s daughter, studies, who loves Khushi very much, comes into their life. After that, such an incident happens that the life of these three changes completely and it is known how John’s life comes in front of everyone.
